Morning
Board.

Planning support for people who find most task apps too rigid, or quietly judgemental.

§ I · the challenge

A list can help.
It can also become the problem.

Lots of people write themselves a to-do list, and it's a good habit. The trouble comes over time. Not everything gets done, so the list carries over. Slowly it stops helping you focus and turns into a record of everything you haven't done yet. Open it in a hard week and it's crushing.

The opposite problem is choice paralysis. You've got a blank slate with nothing to guide you and too many options, and your brain can't decide where to start.

Most productivity tools are designed for a particular kind of organised, linear thinker. If your brain doesn't work that way, the tool just gets in your way.

Get it all down, focus when you're ready, and start each day fresh without yesterday's list hanging over you. - Morning Board product principle
§ II · the product pattern

Two modes for
one deliberate list.

Morning Board has two separate modes, Capture and Focus. Getting things out of your head and deciding what to work on are different jobs, so the app keeps them apart.

Capture is where you empty your head. Focus is where you pick what deserves your attention today.

You won't find categories, a priority matrix you have to fill in, or a backlog wall that builds itself. The app helps you choose what goes on your next list, and it doesn't keep a running tally of what you didn't finish.

§ III · who it serves

Built for people whose thinking does not fit neatly into folders.

We built Morning Board for people who write a to-do list and still feel behind. It's for anyone who opens a task manager, feels overwhelmed straight away and closes it again, or whose thinking doesn't sit well in priority matrices.

It's neuro-affirming by design. It supports people who think non-linearly, find high-structure systems exhausting, or just want a different relationship with their to-do list. You don't need a label to belong here.

§ IV · design principles

A planning tool should make your day feel lighter, not heavier.

01
Capture without commitment
02
No backlog wall
03
Accessible foundation
§ V · how it evolves

A working tool shaped by real use.

We keep changing Morning Board based on how people use it and the problems they bring to it.

There's a feedback link inside the app, so the people it's for can keep telling us what works and what doesn't.
