Accessibility is
a personal thing
for both of us.

Jackie & Jasper started The Toy Cartel in 2023. We bring design know-how and lived experience to every project.

We've both seen what happens when design leaves people out, and we want to fix it.

↓ what we believe
  1. I.We stay humble and we don't judge.
  2. II.We share what we know, freely.
  3. III.Purpose comes before compliance.
  4. IV.Nothing about them, without them.

Where we focus

We work with people who already care,
and want to make it real.

Our clients are NFPs, allied health organisations, government departments and SMEs. They've already decided accessibility matters. We help them see what's possible, then we build it with them.

We stay with a project from the first conversation to the finished work. Accessibility done in bits and pieces, like an audit here and a checklist there, rarely changes much for long.

We try to make accessibility itself easy to understand. Ask us anything, however basic it seems.
↻ how we keep ourselves honest
Contrast If a colour pairing fails accessibility, we change the design rather than defend the palette.
Clarity If an illustration or layout muddies the point, we simplify it until the point is clear.
Tone We avoid making accessibility feel like a test people have already failed.
Language We cut words when they add effort without adding meaning.
